Do French speakers use « guillemets d'air »? What does the hand motion look like?

Update: Wikipedia has an article about air quotes, which does not answer the question but is amusing.

Update 2: Wikipedia also has a stub article about scare quotes, which mentions air quotes but doesn't link to the air quotes article. Someone with more energy (and Wikipedia-modifying experience) than me may want to fix this.
