I took the Match.com personality test. Here are some amusing stats:
40% of women are generally attracted to your personality type. 1% say they are VERY attracted.Assuming that these are independent variables, that means only 2 in 25 women are even "most, but not all" mutual fits, and 1 in 2000 are direct hits both ways. I'm not sure I'll even meet 2000 women in my life.
Women with the exact type of personality you prefer are rare gems. Looking at over 10,000 women who have taken this test, only 5% (or 1 in 20 women) have the exact combination of similarities and contrasts in personality you find extremely appealing.
However, there's a larger group, 19% (or 1 in 5 women), who have most, but not all, of the qualities and habits you like.

2. 2000 isn't that many people. You can meet a hundred people in a single weekend if you're doing something very social.
3. I'm not sure how reliable such a test is. Keep in mind that your conclusion based on their data makes their service very attractive.

1. Me too.
2. Sure, a hundred people is easy. But a hundred women? Not in my social circles... Also, it depends on how you define "meet".
3. It's definitely not very accurate. (For example, somehow it got the notion that I'm much more disorganized than average; I said that when stressed, I tend to be disorganized, and in general I wish I were more organized, but I still think I'm more organized than average.) On the other hand, it only covers personality, and says nothing about shared interests, physical attraction, etc. Not to mention availability—it didn't say how many other men prefer the same personality type that I do.

I'd say their service IS very attractive -- you can "meet" those 2000 women, and narrow it down to the handful that are likely to be a match both ways, in a matter of minutes.
It worked for me...

Want to bet the number is much higher in the circles you travel through?
