I took the Match.com personality test. Here are some amusing stats:
40% of women are generally attracted to your personality type. 1% say they are VERY attracted.

Women with the exact type of personality you prefer are rare gems. Looking at over 10,000 women who have taken this test, only 5% (or 1 in 20 women) have the exact combination of similarities and contrasts in personality you find extremely appealing.

However, there's a larger group, 19% (or 1 in 5 women), who have most, but not all, of the qualities and habits you like.
Assuming that these are independent variables, that means only 2 in 25 women are even "most, but not all" mutual fits, and 1 in 2000 are direct hits both ways. I'm not sure I'll even meet 2000 women in my life.

Probably taking your post too seriously

1. I doubt these are independent variables.
2. 2000 isn't that many people. You can meet a hundred people in a single weekend if you're doing something very social.
3. I'm not sure how reliable such a test is. Keep in mind that your conclusion based on their data makes their service very attractive.

As the previous commenter remarked, the numbers make their service very attractive.

I'd say their service IS very attractive -- you can "meet" those 2000 women, and narrow it down to the handful that are likely to be a match both ways, in a matter of minutes.

It worked for me...

What the personality test really says, probably, is that 5% of women who taken personality tests at match.com are highly appealing to you, not that 5% of women in general are.

Want to bet the number is higher generally?

Want to bet the number is much higher in the circles you travel through?
