Happy birthday, MTV

To celebrate MTV's 25th birthday (which was actually August 1st), VH1 Classic is airing the entire first day of MTV's broadcast today.

I don't know if you were just meaning that to be factual, butg I am amused that MTV has outsourced its own birthday to VH1 ..

Of course, that's what the people who watched MTV 25 years ago are watching now, but ..

It's all the same company anyway (Viacom), so there's not much "out" sourcing.

The last video to air on MTV was The Buggles' "Adolescent Targeted Prime-time Programming Killed the Video Star."
