"Holy crap."
"Nooo!"
"Wow."
"What the fuck!" (this was during a commercial)
"Jesus Christ."
"OH NO THEY DI'INT"

Okay, that last one I didn't say out loud. By "they" I was thinking of the producers of "Lost", who are now clearly batshit insane.

Sadly I was somewhat spoilered about two things. One from some idle speculation on [livejournal.com profile] lost_theories based on last week's "tune in next week" promo, the other from a rumor in an article linked to from the front page of the Lostpedia. Fortunately I didn't really believe either one, so I was still somewhat surprised when they both came true (simultaneously), but not as surprised as I should have been. So maybe I should stop reading those until the season ends.

By the way, that rumor (the why, not the what) is debunked in a TV Guide interview with the producers.

It had lots of surprises (and a few revelations), but it wasn't really one of the better episodes. The flashbacks were more about tying things together rather than the usual morality play or character development. And some of the plot developments seemed kind of gratuitous, although presumably they'll be explained soon.
