OK, LJSeek officially sucks. I thought of some new anagrams for my name the other day, and I wanted to see if I had already found them in my previous post. But searching for "anagrams" turns up nothing.

Anyway, the new anagrams are SOURED ANGLO and OUR D'ANGELO'S. The latter makes more sense if you've seen a D'Angelo's restaurant. (Hm, their website is dangelos.com, but the logo just says "d'angelo". I guess it's like Friendly's, which only added the "s" in 1989?) Anyway, not that I'm particularly a fan of D'Angelo's, but it's just kind of neat to have a non-trivial brand name in my anagram.

By the way, Google doesn't seem to be much better at searching my LiveJournal. But a search for "dougo anagram" did manage to find a kind of embarrassing post by me in October 1991 to The National Midnight Star, a Rush mailing list, about some cryptic-crossword-style wordplay in the Rush song "Anagram". Plus ça change, plus c'est la même chose...

There's a tavern in my hometown that everyone calls "Tiny's", with a big guy tending bar who you'd figure was "Tiny", except that the name of the place is actually "The Tiny Tavern."

Hee-hee. I think I was a member back then too.

Whoa, I had no idea there was a <q> tag. I've been using <i> or <blockquote>.

Some crossword-games list my spouse subscribes to has a rule that all posters must list their names and city, so I thought about creating a hotmail account and posting as:

NICHOLAS IRVIN, TULSA

or IRVIN NICHOLAS, TULSA

Nice. Hm, could I get away with "DOUG, ORLEANS"? Otherwise I guess I'd have to be "GUS E., ORLANDO".

Hi,

Just wanted to answer your question why you can't find your old anagram posting.

That post is dated in 2003, before we started and so it is not in our database.
It is Livejournal limitation to have protocol to only provide with last 25 posts for given journal.
