I got this poll from [livejournal.com profile] tombking:
general
You're Generally Indie. There's nothing wrong with
this. You like music all over the map and
aren't adversed to listening to some Top 40
here and there. You just know to comment that
The Neptunes are the best producers around
right now. You don't feel the need to debate
constantly with other music geeks, because you
know that Pavement were the best band of the
90s.

You Know Yer Indie. Let's Sub-Categorize.
brought to you by Quizilla

Hm, well, that's pretty much accurate (especially compared to the other choices), although Pavement was only the best band of 1992. And I have no idea who that's a picture of. But yeah, I'm an indie dilettante. I'm amused that none of the questions made me want to say "none of the above" but many made me want to say "I can only pick one?!" In particular the "greatest inspiration to bands you listen to" had no bad answers; I ended up with the Stooges just because grunge was my first love.

Oh heck, here's my full answers:
Which of the following is the best band?
Can

Which one artist/band would be considered the greatest inspiration to all the other artists you listen to?
The Stooges

Let's talk accessories:
Thrift Shop T-Shirt

What's your drug of choice?
Being morose.

You are cooler than everyone else in your sub-category of indie because:
You're on a first name basis with the owners of the hole in the wall record store downtown.

Please choose one of the following statements:
There is artistic value in playing one note from a hammond organ on repeat for an hour.

My friend Rose thinks I should ask about what your favourite colour is. Instead, let's talk about her...and colours:
I'd like to have sex with her. And some of her friends.

Finally, choose a lyric:
There's a teen age riot in a public station...

extremely repetitive rhythms
Not sure one could use that to describe Einsturzende Neubauten or at least not the stuff I have anyway.
