Shows I'm planning to go to this week:

Groovie Ghoulies at the Abbey Lounge tonight
In Gowan Ring at PA's Lounge tomorrow
Bright and Joe Turner at PA's Lounge on Wednesday

Other shows I'll be missing:

Super Furry Animals at the Worcester Palladium tonight
Nine Inch Nails + Queens of the Stone Age at the Fleet Center TD BankNorth Garden tomorrow
The Misfits at the Middle East downstairs tomorrow (presumably without Glenn Danzig?)
Broadcast at the Paradise tomorrow
Mark Robinson at Zuzu on Wednesday

I can't believe I still haven't seen Queens of the Stone Age live. I'm pretty sure they've never played a headlining bill around here, at least not in the last 3-4 years, and arena shows are just too annoying (and expensive) to want to see them as an opening act.

I still haven't decided about Bauhaus at the Orpheum on Sunday. Is it worth $44? I'm much more of a Love & Rockets fan than Bauhaus, but I've never seen Bauhaus and it seems like I probably should at some point.

Hm. Interesting that you mention Love & Rockets. I wasn't singing in the shower, I hope.

Not that I heard. Were you feeling So Alive, or just had No New Tale To Tell?

I was about to wash my long brown hair, which made me feel So Alive.

QOTSA headlined on 3-28-2005 at the Roxy, in Boston. I took some crappy pictures with my camera phone from the balcony. http://stillborn.blissed.org/qotsa/

I also have the bootleg :)

Huh, yeah, I think that was when I was deep in hermit mode and not looking at concert listings. But I do remember them being opening acts at big arenas on at least three different tours. Maybe next time...
