David Lynch spotting

I watched The Brother From Another Planet yesterday, an early John Sayles film (1984). There's a scene where two white guys from Indiana (in town for a "self-actualizing conference") get lost in Harlem. One of them looks and talks an awful lot like David Lynch. I think he's credited as "David Babcock", who has no other credits listed in IMDb, so it seems pretty likely that it's a pseudonym. But IMDb is usually pretty good about listing pseudonyms and uncredited appearances, and I couldn't find anything else on the net about this. Weird.

I saw that when it came out. Ever since then, every time I see Joe Morton in anything, I think of it. He occasionally plays a defense attorney on Law & Order, among other jobs.

I think I first saw Joe Morton in Terminator 2, but I've seen him in a bunch of other things. I also recognized David Strathairn (as one of the Men In Black, the other being Sayles himself) and Fisher Stevens (as the card sharp on the train). And Bill Cobbs (wise old man in the bar) was "Moses the Clock Man" in The Hudsucker Proxy!
