The last track on the last album I listened to while finishing up the dissertation: The Chemical Brothers, "The Test" (guest vocals by Richard Ashcroft from The Verve). It seemed somewhat appropriate, striking a balance between bliss and bitterness, satisfaction and apprehension. Or maybe I'm just projecting.
