The 2005 MIT Mystery Hunt is over. The team known as Physical Plant found the coin at 6:34pm Sunday evening. This Hunt was far better-constructed than last year's, and pretty much every single puzzle I saw had a satisfying solution. Our team, Pturnips, solved something like 115 puzzles all told, and got quite close to solving the last two meta-meta puzzles that would have opened up the final stage for us, which was apparently much farther than this team had ever gotten before. It was also quite a bit larger than it had ever been before, on the order of 50 members compared to 30-35 last year. The winning team had something like 150+, being basically an entire dorm of MIT undergrads plus all their friends. And now they get to make next year's Hunt, which will be interesting. Anyway, thanks to all my pteam members, and to Setec Astronomy (aka Normalville Town Council), for a great weekend!

Now to catch up on LiveJournal, Tivo, and sleep... More about the Hunt later, maybe.

EDIT: All of the puzzles + solutions have been posted. The wrapup will be tomorrow (Monday) at 10am (bleah) "in or around" 10-250.
