Does anyone know where I can rent or borrow a laptop (preferably Linux) for the next two weekends?

How about buying the $500 Linux laptop sold on walmart.com?

For two weekends, that's a steep price of $125 a day, but at least you get to keep it!

Or better yet sell it. Kind of a neat idea, but, ew, Walmart. Also I was sort of hoping to rent a high-end laptop just to see what they're like. I'm not really convinced that I want one to keep, so I figured the hunt would be a good test drive.

Walmart vs. supporting a mainstream Linux product. I dunno, I think buying a Linux machine from one of the most major retailers is a net positive. If Walmart succeeds, others will follow. One theory says that other major players haven't because they aren't as big.

But, hell, on eBay maybe you can sell the darn thing for almost the same price. Minus cost of placing the ad.
