Today's track is Spectrum, "How You Satisfy Me". Spectrum is primarily just one guy, Pete Kember (aka Sonic Boom). He was a co-founder of the legendary '80s underground drone-pop band Spacemen 3; the other co-founder, Jason Pierce (aka Jason Spaceman), went on to more widespread recognition with his band Spiritualized, but for my money Spectrum is a lot more interesting. With all the unlikely reunions this year I keep expecting to hear that Spacemen 3 is getting back together, but I don't think there would really be any point. Anyway, this tune is a great driving organ-drenched fuzzed-out rave-up, rather different from Spectrum's usual more meditative/experimental stuff.

Dude, get a real web server. This "edit the URL if you want to download the whole thing" strategy is annoying.

Working on it. Can you try it from a different browser? Or from a different IP?

Failed from Internet Explorer (as well as Firefox). I don't have any other IPs handy.

Check out Evie Sands' "I Can't Let Go", a great forgotten northern soul/girl group song that was the inspiration for "How You Satisfy Me"
