Today's track is Six Organs of Admittance, "Oak Path", a moody acoustic guitar instrumental. Six Organs of Admittance is basically just young Ben Chasny from McKinleyville, CA, playing ornate Fahey-esque guitar with occasional percussion in the form of chimes or bongos. Although he mostly gets his aggression out as a member of the highly electric Comets on Fire, some of the Six Organs stuff is pretty wild too, but I want to be diverse with these selections so I went with something a little less overtly psychedelic. Hope you like it.

Note: some people are having problems downloading complete files from my web server; I still haven't figured out why, but if you run into trouble let me know and I can open up a backdoor for you that's more reliable.

Edit: oops, fixed a typo in the symbolic link. Try again if you got a file-not-found.

He also lived in Santa Cruz for a long time (where he met the Comets people) and currently resides in Berkeley.

Love the mp3s.

I seem to have trouble downloading your MP3s. This one cut out after 21 seconds, then I tried again and it made it to 29. I think I had the same problem with another one you posted.

Not that I expect you to be able to do anything about it, just, it's too bad.

OK, I've opened up port 8080 (same address) runing Apache instead of the PLT Scheme web server. For some reason I was feeling wary of Apache but it's probably at least as secure as PLT. Still, I probably won't link directly to that port, but feel free to use it as needed. (But note that it only has access to a limited portion of my web site.) Let me know if you still have trouble.

Thanks. I like this one. But then, moody acoustic guitar, how could I not.
