My other other new favorite show is Venture Brothers. I was a bit late on this bandwagon; I think I first heard about it via
prog, but it wasn't until
staticzombie's review that I started watching. (Or maybe it was the other way around?) By now most of my friends list has mentioned it, but in case there's anyone else who hasn't seen it, check it out! I never saw "Jonny Quest" so I can't compare, but it reminds me more of "The Tick" than anything else. Also a bit of "Top 10" and "Tom Strong".
They're rerunning season 1 now, although weirdly out of order. ...Oh, now that I look at the episode list I guess they're doing it in production order rather than the order they were originally shown. Whatever. Anyway, they should be done in two weeks, so maybe they'll start over from the beginning again. Ordinarily I would recommend you start from the beginning, but the pilot is quite a bit different from the rest of the series, and if I'd seen that first I probably wouldn't have kept watching. Even the first few episodes are a bit dull compared to later on once the show got into its rhythm. There are some character-introduction episodes and vague foreshadowing, but otherwise the order only really matters for the final few episodes.
I've also discovered that some episodes are even funnier the second time, e.g. "Tag Sale-- You're IT!". I'm cracking up just reading the episode guide:

One of the background characters is named "Chairman Wow." Presumably this is the oriental man walking behind Rick Danger after Dr. Orpheus's first appearance. His emblem is an exclamation point with a red star in place of the dot.
