Communication breakdown

At least one person has been getting occasional bounce messages when sending email to me; I also suspect that some email has not been getting through even without bouncing. So if you've sent me mail expecting a response and didn't get a response within a few days, please try again. Or, you can send an instant message, since I'm always logged in: dougo@volity.net via Jabber, or DougOrleans via AIM.

I helped PJ set up some blacklists and other anti-spam measures on place.org's mailserver.

If this is related, it's possible that a) the IP/network they are sending e-mail from is on a blacklist (he's using DSBL, ORBS, SPEWS, SBL and visi).

In fact, I'd wager a bet that the person trying to send mail to you was on comcast..

I might suggest to PJ that he remove SPEWS for a while -- they recently added the entirity of comcast's networks. That's right, all of them. While I admire their balls, it's just too problematic for us to have NO comcast users able to e-mail our customers.

Yes, it was someone from comcast.
