Poker entendre

In this week's episode of "Celebrity Poker Showdown", Adam Rodriguez went broke on the first hand, trying to call Norm MacDonald's bluff. His comment from the Losers Lounge: "It was like my first time having sex, I'm like, 'this is great, but it's over?'" Host Dave Foley's response: "Well, you prematurely ejaculated your chips all over Norm MacDonald." Well, I thought it was funny.

Also, I realized something interesting about Texas Hold'em a while ago that I just remembered: it's clear that a pair in the hole can lose to a non-pair, but it can even lose to a non-pair that doesn't match anything on the table: if two higher pairs come up, and the non-pair has the high card.

Two weeks from now, on "Celebrity Poker Showdown": Maura Tierney!

And Rodriguez's response to Foley was "Yeah, and he's a CANADIAN."

Also if they complete a flush or straight, unless you were considering those in the definition of "match".

Yeah, I guess "match" is the wrong word, but I'm not up on my poker lingo. There's probably some colorful term for a three-pair hand losing to a two-pair hand...

Has Dave Foley been hosting a lot of these, or do they rotate hosts each episode?

Kevin Pollock hosted the first season, but was unavailable to host the second (current) season, so they got Dave Foley to do it. I think each "season" (i.e. tournament of 5 or 6 games) is filmed over the course of a few days, so I don't think they're going to rotate hosts during a season.
