I spent the first day of summer at Terrastock 7, so it was fitting that I spent the last day of summer at All Tomorrow's Parties New York. Here's who I saw (in order): Bardo Pond, Meat Puppets, Tortoise, Joe DeRosa, Thurston Moore, Eugene Mirman, Patton Oswalt, Built to Spill, Alexander Tucker, Apse, Growing, The Drones, Wooden Shjips, Fuck Buttons, Harmonia, Edan with Dagha, Om, Low, Polvo, Les Savy Fav, Thee Silver Mt. Zion, Shellac, Lightning Bolt, Le Volume Courbe, Wounded Knees, Robin Guthrie, Lilys, EPMD, Gemma Hayes, Mercury Rev, Spectrum, Yo La Tengo, Trail of Dead, Mogwai, Bob Mould, Dinosaur Jr., Brian Jonestown Massacre, and My Bloody Valentine. Man, that's not a line-up, that's a record collection! (Maria Bamford was also there, but I missed her set to see the beginning of Thurston Moore's. I saw at least a little bit of every other set.)

I'll be flooding Flickr with photos soon, and videos at some point. I probably won't do a full write-up, but I might make some short posts about various aspects of the festival as I remember them. The bottom line is: there were a lot of things that could have been better, but I'm totally glad I went.
