The Settlers of Redmond

I was hoping this was some sort of hoax, but it appears to be legitimate: Microsoft now has the online rights to Settlers of Catan. I suppose it's a positive sign of the growing popularity of German-style games here in the US, but it still gives me a terrible feeling in the pit of my stomach.

I was surprised mainly because I find it very hard to believe that Settlers Online will produce anything like the profit that Microsoft must be expecting.
