T-shirt recognition

On Tuesday night I went to see The Dandy Warhols at the Wilbur Theater in Boston, MA. On a whim, I wore my Hazel t-shirt, an obscure '90s Sub Pop grunge band from Portland, OR, because the Dandy Warhols are also from Portland. I was standing pretty close to stage left, where Zia the keyboard player was set up. And after the first song she totally pointed right at my shirt and mouthed "Hazel" and smiled!

[Yeah, my phonecam sucks.]

One time Eddie Spaghetti from The Supersuckers gave an onstage shout-out to my Putters t-shirt. Coincidentally, the Supersuckers were in town last week, but I lamed out and didn't see them.

I wore my Cocteau Twins "Heaven or Las Vegas" shirt to Comic-con once and Nina Paley complimented me on it.

For a second I thought you said Nina Hagen.

I was there too...but up in the balcony. We did get to go backstage after the show and chat with the band, though.

Huh, how did you manage that? Did Zia smile at your t-shirt?
