Starting this Sunday, CBS is showing reruns of "Dexter", which I've heard good things about. For those who've seen it on Showtime or DVD (or Bittorrent): will they have to cut a lot to get a TV-14 rating? Should I just wait until I can see it uncut?

Don't bother watching it cut. It'd be like watching Goodfellas. Netflix it. It's worth it.

Supposedly the showrunners intentionally did 'TV-14' takes/shots while filming the primary version, so it's not so much cuts as full reshoots.

That said, it'd be worth waiting to see the uncut versions, definitely.

Oof! I can't even imagine how they're going to make it less gruesome enough in some bits to qualify. It's definitely worth seeing, but worth seeing the uncut version.
