Summer vacations

Two weekends ago I took the Acela Express down to the Jersey Shore to visit my grandmother.

Two weekends from now I'm going to Portland, OR to visit my dad & stepmom, landing the night of Friday, Sep 15 and leaving the morning of Wednesday, Sep 20. I'll be at the Scheme Workshop during the day on Sunday, Sep 17 and the Vermillion Lies show on the evening of Tuesday, Sep 19, but otherwise I'm free. greyaenigma? Is there anyone else I know in Portland? Is Ben still there?

Oh, so you were serious about coming to Portland? Yep, I'm here, and Ben's still out in Hillsboro, but he can be persuaded into civilization for brief periods. Not sure who else is out in Portland that you'd know. Of course, there's a ton of Seattle-folk.

I'm planning on going to the Vermillion Lies show, too.

Are you going to ICFP? I'll be around Saturday-Tuesday for ICFP and the Haskell workshop (which is at the same time as the Scheme workshop).

Nope, just the Scheme Workshop. The rest of ICFP didn't seem exciting enough to pay the registration fee, and I don't think I could get my employer to pay for it.
