On the Internet, no one knows you're not David Lynch

A few months ago, I hypothesized that the "David Babcock" credited in The Brother From Another Planet (playing a tourist from Indiana) was a pseudonym for David Lynch. According to the IMDb user "ctmitchell", David Babcock is a real person. And he should know—he claims to be Chip Mitchell, who played the other tourist from Indiana! I suppose it's possible that this is just a random prankster, or someone who's in on the pseudonym and is trying to cover it up, but I have no particular reason not to believe him.
