I watched The Brother From Another Planet yesterday, an early John Sayles film (1984). There's a scene where two white guys from Indiana (in town for a "self-actualizing conference") get lost in Harlem. One of them looks and talks an awful lot like David Lynch. I think he's credited as "David Babcock", who has no other credits listed in IMDb, so it seems pretty likely that it's a pseudonym. But IMDb is usually pretty good about listing pseudonyms and uncredited appearances, and I couldn't find anything else on the net about this. Weird.
Yet another reason "Arrested Development" is an awesome show: to replace Henry Winkler ("Barry Zuckercorn") as the family's lawyer this season, they got Scott Baio ("Bob Loblaw"). Yes, that's Chachi replacing The Fonz (because he "skews younger"). This show has almost as much footnote-worthy stuff as "The Simpsons". ...Ah, looks like there's a good set of episode guides at the fan site, Balboa Observer-Picayune.
