September was a busy month, busy enough that I didn't get around to posting much. Here's a summary, in many kilowords:

Immediately after I made a post to LiveJournal containing a bunch of image links—all behind a <lj-cut>—my web server got hit with 100+ requests for the first image on the page. What's up with that?
