Dark humor, perhaps, but lately I've been listening to this band: Tsunami, "Quietnova". The two singer/guitarists, Jenny Toomey and Kristin Thomson, ran the indie label Simple Machines, wrote the Mechanic's Guide to Putting Out Records, and now run the Future of Music Coalition, a not-for-profit organization doing research and lobbying for music/technology/law issues. As far as I know their band never broke up, but maybe now they'll change their name to Basket Full of Puppies.
By the way, I tracked down part of the bug with my web server, a combination of a too-low timeout setting and a less-than-graceful handling of that timeout. I've increased the timeout setting, so in most cases you should be able to download mp3s to completion, but if the net is particularly slow you may still run into problems; please let me know as soon as you do. I'll also leave the alternate server up at port 8080 until the timeout handling gets more solid.
