Well, it's maybe a few days late to be topical, since winter is already here, but check out Elf Power, "The Winter is Coming". Elf Power is loosely affiliated with the Elephant 6 collective; if you're not familiar with those bands—Olivia Tremor Control, The Apples (In Stereo), Neutral Milk Hotel, and a host of others—the best comparison is probably The Flaming Lips, except a bit more overtly Beatlesque. This is the title track of what I think is a concept album but I've never been able to quite follow what it's about. The lyrics mention something about the Spectre and a bird with a throne... who knows, but it's a good pop tune anyway.
Find the following English words:
  1. A one-word anagram for DELICATESSEN. (No fair cheating.)
  2. A verb whose present tense can be pronounced differently to become the past tense of another verb.
  3. A word you might find on a tube of toothpaste that can be anagrammed into the name of a small country by adding one letter.
I sent in the last one to the NPR Weekend Edition Sunday Puzzle a couple years ago but I don't think it ever made it on the air (I don't actually listen to the show, I just read the website occasionally).

Comments will be screened for a few days, so feel free to post answers.
