In honor of the late, great John Peel, here's The Misunderstood, "Find a Hidden Door". In 1966, Peel, then known as John Ravenscroft, discovered this r'n'b/psychedelic band in Riverside, CA, and helped them get to London that summer to make it big. Through various mishaps they never did make it big, but they recorded a few great acid-fuzz-rock tracks in the pre-Summer-of-Love style of the Yardbirds, Animals, and Seeds. "Children of the Sun" and "I Can Take You To The Sun" are the ones that usually show up on compilations (the former was on Nuggets vol. 2), but "Find a Hidden Door" is my favorite.
